StudyAbroad.ac publishes opinion pieces from academics, researchers and students on studying abroad, funding, admissions and research careers. If you have something useful or thought-provoking to say to students planning their next step, we would like to hear from you.
What we are looking for
- Opinion and analysis on higher education, scholarships, admissions and international study
- Practical insight from your own experience as an academic, supervisor or student
- Original pieces that have not been published elsewhere
Guidelines
- Length: around 800–1,200 words
- Clear, plain English that students from many countries can follow
- Facts and figures linked to their source
- Pieces are edited for clarity, length and accuracy. We will share the final version with you before publishing.
- Opinion pieces carry your name, role, photo and a short bio. The views are yours; we add a note saying so.
- Contributions are unpaid. Every published piece carries your byline, role, photo and bio.
How to pitch
Send us a short pitch using the form below: a few lines on your idea and why it matters to students. Please don’t send a finished article yet. We reply to every pitch we can use.
